Permeable Pavers: Sustainable, Green, Earth Friendly Solution

Wildwood Land Design is the leader in the landscaping industry at ofrrering a wide range of cutting edge, “green” landscape soulutions. Included in our services is the installtion of permeable pavers, rainwater harvesting, xeriscaping, native plantings, roof gardens, drip irrigation, organic fertilization, erosion control, and green retaining walls. The following is a brief description of permeable pavers and their benefits.

Concrete pavers add beauty and elegance to any property. Permeable pavers offer the same look, quality, and durability found in conventional paver applications, with the added earth-friendly benefits.

Storm water runoff from non-porous surfaces (concrete, asphalt) may contain motor oil, fertilizers, silt, and other contaminants. Permeable pavers allow for water to percolate through the pavement and into the soil, therefore reducing harmful storm water runoff from entering directly into our lakes, rivers, coastlines, and groundwater.

Specially designed interlocking shapes, allow storm water to rapidly flow through, eliminating standing water in walkways, patios, and driveways without sloping.

Potential for erosion is virtually eliminated, as well as the need for retention ponds or underground piping.

Unlike some environmentally frienldy solutions, the cost of installing permeable pavers is quite comparable to conventional paver installationwith the added long lasting envionmental benefits.\

Your decision to use permeable pavers will reduce the environmental stress that is increasingly being placed on our resources without sacrificing beauty and durability.

Please contact our knowledgeable staff with any questions or a free design consultation and estimate. Do your part for tthe environment by installing permeable pavers, the environmentally and economically friendly choice. (865) 522-6220
