Twas the days before Christmas and all through the K-town
Our crews were hard working, on projects around.
The pavers are placed on the sand with great care,
With thoughts of the gatherings soon to be there.
Our workers all dressed in their warm winter gear,
With visions of finishing up for the year.
Our work has been stellar, our books in the black,
We’re proud to be moving down the right track.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
A foreman sprang forward to see what was the matter.
A homeowner cried out in such great distress,
“What will I do, my yard’s such a mess.”
The sun casting shadows on plants without leaves,
Gave no luster to homeowners clearly in need.
When what to their wandering eyes did appear,
But Doug in a truck with landscapers and gear.
An experienced crew so lively and quick,
They knew in a moment this would do the trick.
More rapid than eagles they planted and raked,
The foreman encouraged them all by their names.
Now Albert, Now Brian, Now Mattthew and James,
On Michael, On Jamie, on Robert the same!
To the back of the yard! To the foot of the door.
Now Landscape, Landscape, Landscape some more.
The Bobcat did growl, the diesels did hum,
This warm winter weather lets much work get done.
A homeowner that’s happy is always the plan,
With the details and fine tuning all done by hand.
The crew finished up, so tidy and fast,
They loaded the gear and the tools in a flash.
But I heard them exclaim as they rolled out of site,
“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
